The First AI Application Skills Competition Concludes Successfully! Who Are the True "AI Navigators"?

To fully embrace the era of large-scale AI application, realize win-win outcomes including corporate cost reduction & efficiency improvement as well as personal competency upgrading for employees, SOTEC hosted its inaugural AI Application Skills Competition themed Searching for AI Navigators on September 16. This event aims to build an intelligent working model featuring "AI + business scenarios", foster an innovation-oriented corporate culture, establish an operation mechanism of "tool-enabled empowerment and employee value enhancement", and select outstanding cases of work process optimization driven by artificial intelligence.

Since the launch of the competition, five employees signed up actively. Centered on their respective job requirements and practical business scenarios, the five contestants developed multiple practical and innovative AI application solutions covering policy Q&A, operation management, training material development, patent drafting, knowledge retrieval and other fields, fully demonstrating the great potential of AI technology in elevating work efficiency and output quality.

The competition underwent initial review by the General Administration Department and final evaluation by a judging panel consisting of Deputy General Managers Xu Jinpeng and Cui Honghua, R&D Director Hu Junjie, Materials Director Li Yanhui. Comprehensive scoring was carried out in terms of business value, innovation, replicability and presentation quality.

  • Peng Yan won the First Prize with the project AI-assisted Internal Training Material Production Based on Silhouette Tools;

  • Liu Huchen took the Second Prize for the project AI-powered Knowledge Retrieval and Sharing System;

  • Chen Yiming claimed the Third Prize with the project Online AI Q&A Platform for Corporate Rules and Regulations.

The awardees demonstrated outstanding capabilities in AI deployment and delivered replicable and promotable intelligent working paradigms for the whole team.

This competition was far more than a technical contest; it served as a platform for idea exchange and the cultivation of corporate innovation culture. All participants reshaped their daily workflows with AI tools, practically fulfilling the goal of empowering staff via digital tools and boosting individual professional value.
