On January 13, the Wusheng Purification Plant, a subsidiary of Daqing Oilfield's Natural Gas Branch and the oilfield's first sour gas purification facility, commenced trial operation and production. This milestone breakthrough marks a major leap for Daqing Oilfield in the field of high-pressure, high-sour-gas treatment. As a key supporting project, the wastewater treatment system constructed by Chengdu Sotec Technology Co., Ltd. was put into synchronous operation, with stable performance and effluent quality meeting standards, successfully achieving the "zero liquid discharge" (ZLD) target.

The characteristics of natural gas fields in the Sichuan-Chongqing region—"high pressure, high sulfur content, and high production"—pose extremely stringent challenges for wastewater treatment technologies and equipment. As the builder of the core water treatment system for this project, Sotec Technology precisely undertook the key process train of "pretreatment + Ultrafiltration (UF) + Reverse Osmosis (RO) + Disc Tube Reverse Osmosis (DTRO)." Leveraging its independently developed high-fouling-resistance membrane modules and efficient concentration technologies, the company ensured stable system operation under extreme conditions. This not only achieved a high ratio of produced water reuse but also effectively reduced the concentrate volume, providing reliable support for the subsequent evaporation, drying, and external transport of crystallized salts, thus completing the environmental closure loop.

During the construction process, Sotec Technology, with its professional technical solutions, reliable equipment performance, and efficient execution system, was deeply integrated into the "Daqing Speed" that accomplished the Wusheng Purification Plant's construction in "11 months." The company successfully delivered the entire chain from process design and equipment manufacturing to installation and commissioning.

As a key project of both PetroChina and Sichuan Province, the Wusheng Purification Plant represents a total investment of over 11 billion yuan. Upon full operation, it will have an annual processing capacity of 4 billion cubic meters, holding significant strategic importance for supporting Sichuan's construction of a national-scale 100-billion-cubic-meter natural gas production base and optimizing the energy structure. Sotec Technology, with its leading water treatment technologies and full-process delivery capability, has injected sustainable green momentum into this "energy engine."

The successful delivery of the Wusheng Purification Plant project is another benchmark case for Sotec Technology in water treatment engineering within the energy and chemical sector. Looking ahead, Sotec Technology will continue to deepen its expertise, helping more energy and chemical projects achieve green, efficient, and sustainable development.
