Sotec Technology Wins "Advanced Unit for Project Breakthrough" Honor in Dongguan Sludge Disposal Project

On February 10, at the 2025 Annual Construction Project Commendation Conference hosted by Dongguan Water Environment Investment Holding Group Construction Management Co., Ltd., Chengdu Sotec Technology Co., Ltd. was awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Unit for Project Breakthrough" for its outstanding performance in the wastewater zero-liquid-discharge (ZLD) section of the Dongguan Sludge Centralized Treatment and Disposal Project. This recognition highly affirms Sotec Technology's technical strength and project execution capabilities.

The Dongguan Sludge Centralized Treatment and Disposal Project is a world-class project born under the framework of Sino-French energy transition cooperation. With a total designed treatment capacity of 2,700 tons per day upon completion, it will become the world's largest standalone sludge incineration facility and also China's first benchmark project in the sludge sector to achieve wastewater zero liquid discharge. As the builder of the full-process wastewater ZLD section for this project, Sotec Technology has installed a "green heart" into this industry lighthouse. We adopted the core process train of "equalization tank + coagulation sedimentation + quartz sand filtration + ultrafiltration (UF) + DTRO," combined with concentrate evaporation and drying technology, ensuring that all wastewater generated during the sludge disposal process is fully reused and achieving zero discharge. The project is expected to recycle 400,000 cubic meters of water annually, safeguarding the local water environment with robust technologies.

The weight of this honorary award comes from the front-line efforts. In July 2025, the core equipment independently designed and manufactured by Sotec Technology underwent rigorous quality inspection and performance testing in Chengdu before being dispatched. From the moment the equipment was shipped, the Sotec engineering team was stationed on-site, working around the clock. They faced demanding installation requirements and tight schedule pressures. With rich practical experience and professional craftsmanship, the team scientifically planned every step of the process, ensuring orderly installation and close coordination with all parties to guarantee the overall project progress. At present, the project has completed all installation work and officially entered the system commissioning phase, steadily advancing toward final production and operational targets.
