From November 27th to 28th, 2020, the "2020 Tenth Session" was co-sponsored by China National Petroleum Corporation Engineering Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., Sinopec Petroleum Engineering Technology Service Co., Ltd., CNOOC Research Institute Co., Ltd., and China University of Petroleum (Beijing). The China Shale Gas Development Conference" was held at the Xanadu Hotel in Chengdu. Academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, leaders and senior experts from China National Petroleum Corporation and Sinopec Group, university scholars, industry leaders, and media representatives participated in the meeting.
The meeting focused on hot issues such as national support policies for unconventional natural gas, the latest geological and resource exploration, cutting-edge engineering technology innovations, solid waste and environmental protection treatment technologies, in order to solve problems and overcome difficulties.
China's shale gas production and reserves increase every year, especially in the Sichuan Basin, which is a rich area of shale gas resources. As China's shale gas development moves closer to deeper formations, new technical challenges in various aspects also follow. In this conference, SOTEC Environmental Protection, as a representative of the conference, made a report on "Shale Gas Fracturing Flowback Fluid Treatment Technology".
In the process of shale gas exploitation, since shale gas is deeply hidden in airtight shale, it is very difficult to exploit, and a large amount of fracturing fluid needs to be injected into the formation to break the rock wall, release shale gas, and be injected into the shale gas. Formation water will flow back in different stages of shale gas production, namely fracturing flowback fluid and produced water. The composition of fracturing flowback fluid is complex and cannot be directly discharged or reinjected. For the fracturing flowback fluid with complex composition and difficult handling, Huang Xingjun, deputy general manager of SOTEC Environmental Protection, proposed a zero-emission overall solution for fracturing flowback fluid based on DTRO as the core technology, which can achieve low cost, high efficiency and overall stability run. At the same time, SOTEC Environmental Protection explores new ideas, develops composite gel breakers, does not require oxidative gel breakers, operates at low cost, and reduces sludge volume; independently develops oil removal membrane equipment, without adding chemicals, it can concentrate oil 10 times for recycling, reducing Operating cost; develop electrolytic oxidation equipment, which can remove COD and ammonia nitrogen at the same time, without sludge, and realize cost reduction and efficiency increase of shale gas development.
With the sentiment of "continuously launching new environmental protection technologies to serve the society", SOTEC Environmental Protection pays attention to technological innovation, and will continue to develop new technologies for application in shale gas production water, so as to contribute to the green development of shale gas in my country.
